Moe Music Radio

Hi, my name is Rodney RCM Moore. Music has always played a big part in my life. I grew up in a small town in South Florida, the tenth child of eleven children to two amazing parents.  Growing up in a large family gave me a unique opportunity to explore various musical genres, as my siblings had different musical interests. This allowed me to discover new artists and musical genres that I might not have encountered otherwise.  My parents were very active in our local church and gospel singers in their own right.  Every Sunday, my parents ensured all of us children participated in church service in one form or another.  We either sang in the choir, played instruments in the church band, or helped with the flow of the service. To this day, I have a deep-rooted love for the church and the gospel and a heart for serving people.

Growing up, many people I knew throughout my community were part of the band music scene. A lot of them were members of successful bands we know today.  My Best friend's parents formed a band that found local success.  My brother had a band that regularly rehearsed at my parent's house, and my parents were a part of a Gospel band.   I was always learning, growing, and dreaming with my friends at these rehearsals. 

In South Florida, music was everywhere, all the time.  In our homes, our cars, or you created your very own music mix by recording the songs you loved from the radio to a cassette tape and playing them on your personal boom box.  Every weekend, in the parks, there were what we called "JAMS." This is where local DJs would play their music sets for the community.  Some DJs found big sucess and other DJs became local ledgens.  

In high school, my band director was the first professional musician under whom I was blessed to have as my musical instructor.  As the years progressed, he became a mentor to me and greatly influenced my musical aspirations. Under his leadership, I performed every weekend in front of hundreds and thousands of screaming fans in football stadiums.  This is where I experienced the power of music and the effect it has on people.  This set me on the path to becoming a professional musician.  Thanks to his guidance, I had the opportunity to attend Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. I owe an outstanding debt of gratitude to my high school band director, Mr. Womack, who pushed me to new heights with his unwavering commitment to excellence and tough love.  Thank you, Sir.

Soon after, I joined the US Army and performed with the world-renowned 82nd Airborne Division All-American Choir, Performing throughout the country and the world.  This opened the door to me performing at the newly opened Universal Studio Orlando singing four-part do-wop Accapella, to Disney World and Sea World, to Bush Gardens as an interactive DJ, to BB Kings Blues Club Orlando as a lead singer, to touring around the world performing on many stages with many great musicians in tribute shows to where I am now.  One of the greatest entertainers in Europe.

Although I didn't initially plan on pursuing a career in the music industry, I couldn't ignore its calling on my life.  I'm excited to embark on the next chapter of my musical journey and eager to see where it leads me.
